ZS KIOSK - The ideal
self check IN KIOSK
for hotels and resorts
Now guests can themselves check in to a hotel or resort easily and conveniently without any support from the front office management team.
CONCEPT OF
SELF CHECK-IN KIOSKS
Standing in a line to the hotel front desk while looking after your luggage is greatly annoying and irritating, which is a fact that almost everyone can relate to. As much as we understand that the hotel receptionist is doing his or her best, we tend to get a little tired after waiting for some time for us to get checked in to the room(s) and we mostly wonder whether there would have been a simpler and easier way for the check-in process so as not to get tired of waiting for one's turn.
For clearing issues like the above scenario, we introduce a next generation check-in process, ie, the Self based KIOSK check-in for hotels. These KIOSKs are the devices which speeds up the entire check-in process to a hotel or resort therby reducing the waiting time at the reception. The guests could manually enter the booking ID number into the KIOSK system and proceed further for scanning the ID card(s) and selecting the room and the room key(s) through a key dispenser which is connected to the KIOSK system thereby reducing manual works which also implies to accurate data entry as the customer themselves enters thheir data into the system thus reducing manual typing errors. Also the hotel could use their manual labor in a more efficient way.
The entire process just takes upto maximum of 2-4 minutes of time and customers themselves could verify the entire details. From a hotel's perspective, they could add additional features into the KIOSK system so that the customers can have payment options, room change or upgrade options and also booking restaurant table for the next day meal timings etc.

SELF CHECK-IN - THE PROCESS
Customer comes to the hotel or resort.
Goes to a nearby KIOSK system and proceeds to enter his/her booking ID.
The application which has already been interfaced with the hotel management system (PMS), proceeds with showing the customer booking details and other details which he/she has already provided while booking the hotel online.
The customer then proceeds to fill in other details and the system then goes on to scan his/her ID card option.

The customer scans his/her ID card and the data is captured into the system and proceeds for the payment option where the customer may or may not proceed with paying an advance amount or can skip the option.
The next screen will prompt for him/her to choose the room or if the room is already choosen while booking the hotel/resort, proceeds next to the key dispenser option.
The key dispenser dispenses the necessary room keys after verifying the customer details and also collecting a digital signature and the customer proceeds to his/her room with the key card.

By offering an online check-in, you provide a faster and easier way for your guests to commence their experience at your hotel. It is also an alternative to save time and avoid queues, thus reducing the number of people in the hotel lobby. Now your guests can go straight to their room and relax after their busy journey.
An interactive kiosk is like any computer device installed in a public venue to give people self- service access to products and services.
